Apply
The challenge’s initial online application will be posted Aug. 10. Foundations will have until Sept. 23 to submit these inquiries. They will be reviewed as they come in, so we encourage foundations to submit them early. If the idea is compelling, the applicant will be asked to complete a full proposal.
We expect this to be a highly competitive grant process, as it was in 2008. While the online application is not yet available, expect to be asked to address the following:
What is the project?
What geographic area will the project serve?
What is the information need that the project is addressing?
What will be different in the community as a result of this project?
What is the applicant foundation’s financial commitment to the project?
Who might the likely project partners be?
