Media Learning Seminar on the Information Needs of Communities in a Democracy
February 20–21, 2008, Coral Gables, Fla.
At this seminar co-sponsored by the Council and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, executives from 75 community foundations traded ideas with industry thought leaders about the forces that shape the local media environment. The aim was to probe the depth of change brought about by the internet and the shifting roles of mainstream press, get practical ideas about how to communicate with the media about the importance of your foundation’s work.
Robert Putnam and Judy Woodruff were the keynote speakers at this event February 20-21, 2008 at The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Fla.
