Scot M. Rourke

Scot M. Rourke is president of OneCommunity, the first regional ultra-broadband community network. OneCommunity has raised tens of millions of dollars in philanthropic and in-kind donations directed at developing innovative community solutions aimed at transforming Northeast Ohio. OneCommunity focuses on improving public health, education, workforce and government services.
OneCommunity’s activities have garnered recognition for Northeast Ohio as an innovative high-tech hub. Intel Corp. proclaimed Northeast Ohio one of the world’s top four digital communities, Computerworld twice awarded OneCommunity the Global Laureate Award for the best use of technology to benefit society, and the Intelligent Community Forum named Northeast Ohio the only U.S. community in its top seven intelligent communities worldwide.
Rourke has spent most of his career transforming mid-size to large businesses by developing innovative business models and leveraging the latest information technology tools. He has also advised or managed high-growth technology businesses, including his own software and consulting business. He received a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Michigan.
