Eric Klinenberg

Eric Klinenberg is an associate professor of sociology at New York University and a fellow at the Stanford Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences.

His books, Heat Wave: A Social Autopsy of Disaster in Chicago and Fighting for Air: The Battle to Control America’s Media, have earned widespread praise.

In addition to his books, Klinenberg has published articles in scholarly journals and popular magazines, including The New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone, The Nation and Slate.
